The Concept:
Thank you for your interest in my bears. I have been designing and hand crafting bears under the Bearly Sane® label since 1996.
In 2002, after my Dad was diagnosed with a blood disorder, which if left untreated would have led to leukemia. Like most daughter's, I owe a great deal to my Dad and I love and admire him greatly. He has set a good example for me, taught me the importance of high standards and how to use dogged determination (known to many as stubbornness) to achieve my goals.
Being his only child, I thought it would be fitting to design a special range of teddy bears as a tribute to him, and at the same time there would always be a Juniper somewhere in the world to carry his name...and so my Juniper Bearies™ were born.
Remember, on this website you will see only a small selection of my work, some of which has already been adopted, if you wish to see more of my designs please go to my Bearly Sane® web site.
The Making:
Juniper Bearies™ vary in size from 10 to 20 inches (25.5 to 51 cm) and as with all my bears and critters, each one faithfully follows the traditional teddy bear making techniques and is made from the highest quality mohair and finest materials.
The making of theses bears doesn't differ in any way, from the rest of my Bearly Sane® collection. The designs of course are quite different, but never the quality.
Nearly twelve years have passed since I made my first bear and I have never lost my drive for attaining perfection. If I am not happy to have a bear in my own private collection, it certainly won't make it to yours. Click here for the finer details of how the bears are made.
You will find my Juniper Bearies™ are often a lot more colourful, but not garish and you might say they are definately wackier than my usual bears. I really have loads of fun designing and making this range. This seems to be where I tend let my head go and experiment with over the top designs and techniques.
Another thing I like to do with this range, is keep them all looking cheerful with happy expressions. Teddies, after all, are supposed to be comforting companions...we have come to expect that!
I hope you will stay a while and take the time to enjoy your visit.
Beary big hugs,

Please Note:
These bears are designed and made for collectors, they are not in anyway intended for, nor should they be given to children
